Uniquely located within the Freycinet National Park, Freycinet Lodge is just a 2 1/2 hours’ drive from Launceston or Hobart. Immerse yourself in a wide range of experiences including beachcombing, snorkeling, walks to spectacular coastal outlooks, cruising around the Peninsula, or enjoying freshly shucked oysters at a local farm. Excursions we can arrange for you include 4WD trips to Cape Tourville and guided walks on the Peninsula – taking in Sleepy Bay, the Friendly Beaches, Hazards Beach, or Mt Amos.

Services

Guest facilities at Freycinet Lodge include two restaurants, bar and lounge area, gift shop, library, TV lounge with Internet access, conference facilities, laundry, tennis court, boule court, and a barbeque.

Local operators Freycinet Sea Charters and Freycinet Adventures offer a wide range of outdoor activities. Picture yourself on a typical day at Freycinet– circumnavigating the Peninsula in the morning and early afternoon, spotting sea eagles, dolphins, and whales… and then abseiling with qualified instructors off dramatic granite cliffs in the afternoon.

Try snorkeling in Sleepy Bay – and then taking to the surface under your own steam in a Freycinet Adventures kayak.

Or, start the day with a sunrise breakfast, take a fishing charter, go bird watching, hire a bike or play a set of tennis.

Restaurants & Bars

Enjoy exquisite cuisine, fresh produce, and local wines at Freycinet Lodge. The Bay Restaurant is located in the main Lodge building with a panoramic view of Great Oyster Bay. Richardson’s Bistro offers casual dining at reasonable prices, while Hazards Bar and Lounge is a great place to swap stories by the open wood fire in winter while sampling some of Tasmania’s best boutique wines and beers.

Conferences

Uniquely set on a 14-acre site just inside the National Park, Freycinet Lodge’s spectacular waterfront location at the foot of the Hazards is a superb setting for conference and incentive groups. Nestled within the coastal and bushland setting, the Lodge features cabin-style accommodation with meeting facilities for up to 110 delegates.

Freycinet Cabin
Introduce yourself to Tasmania’s natural wonders – stay in our large one-room cabins, ideal for a couple or two adults and a child. The integrated lounge/sitting area has a balcony accessed via glass doors. The bedding configuration consists of one queen-size bed and one double sofa bed. All cabins feature an ensuite bathroom with shower, tea, and coffee-making facilities and a private balcony.

Oyster Bay Cabin
The perfect base camps for larger groups, these two-room cabins integrate sitting/lounge area and main bedroom. The second room and bathroom are accessed from the main room. The bedding configuration consists of one king-size bed in the main room, one single bed, and two bunk beds, in the second room. Features ensuite bathroom, private balcony, and kitchenette.

Wineglass Cabin
There’s nothing quite like sipping Tasmanian sparkling wine on your private balcony after a hard day’s Freycinet exploration – making these one-room cabins ideal for couples. Bedding consists of one king-size bed and one double sofa bed. Features include an ensuite bathroom with a spa bath and shower and a private balcony.

Deluxe Wineglass
All that fresh air is sure to inspire romance, and these one-room cabins are ideal for couples wanting a little extra comfort. Perfect for honeymooners or those seeking an indulgent holiday. The cabin features a queen-size bed, CD player (CD library available), coffee plunger, and bathrobes.

Premier Wineglass
These spacious, open-plan cabins are for the discerning adventurer – and represent a fresh new style for Freycinet Lodge. All boast quality fittings, a king-size bed, double spa bath, CD player, mini-bar with high profile local beverages, and a complimentary welcome platter. The ensuite bathroom includes a separate shower and quality toiletries, a hairdryer, fluffy towels, and bathrobes. They are located close to the main lodge building and have easy access to Richardson’s Beach.
