What to expect
Arrive at Devils@Cradle reception and join a small group for the evening session. Your keeper will position you safely near the enclosure as food triggers intense, natural competition amongst the devils and quolls. The animals move fast and vocally assert dominance—it's genuine predator behaviour, not staged. You'll photograph and observe for roughly an hour as the keeper contextualises what you're seeing: feeding hierarchy, communication styles, individual personalities. The tour operates regardless of weather, so come prepared for Tasmanian conditions. A modest amount of walking on uneven ground is involved.
