About this tour
A seven-hour guided circuit through Tasmania's Huon Valley wine region, starting and finishing in Hobart. You'll visit five independent producers—three vineyards and two cider makers—sampling their output with knowledgeable commentary. The route takes in fortified wines, liqueurs, gin and ciders at family-run operations handpicked for character. A scenic drive winds through the valley; lunch isn't included but eaten at one of the stops.

What to expect
You'll be collected from your accommodation near Hobart around 9.30am and driven south into the Huon Valley. The day alternates between vineyard and cidery visits, each lasting roughly an hour. Expect to taste 4–6 wines or ciders per stop, with staff explaining what you're drinking and how it's made. The landscape shifts from suburban fringe to forested hills. By early afternoon you'll choose lunch at whichever vineyard or cidery appeals (budget ~$30); the guide can advise but won't join. You're back in Hobart by 4.30pm.
Good to know
All alcoholic tastings are included; lunch is your expense. The driver is your guide and handles navigation. Bring sunscreen and comfortable shoes—there's minimal walking but uneven ground at some sites. Not suitable if pregnant.
