Test yourself on Tasmania's premier outdoor ropes courses, set among the towering eucalypts of Hollybank Park just outside Launceston. You'll spend two and a half hours navigating five self-guided courses, each offering different heights and difficulty levels—from gentle two-metre sections to nerve-testing 25-metre climbs. Cross suspended bridges, balance along rope lines, and haul yourself through cargo nets at your own pace. Suit anyone from eight years up who's reasonably fit and keen to face a physical and mental challenge.

What to expect

You'll be kitted out with harness, helmet, and carabiners before heading into the forest. The courses are self-directed, so you choose which obstacles to tackle and in what order. Expect to spend two and a half hours moving between platforms, clipping yourself in and out at each station. Your legs and core will work hard; your head will need focus. The physical demand builds as you progress through trickier sections. You're not racing—plenty of people take their time, especially on the higher courses where your confidence matters as much as your strength.

Good to know

Minimum age eight years; moderate fitness essential. Not suitable if you have spine issues, are pregnant, or have cardiovascular concerns. Wear clothes you can move in; closed shoes required. No prior experience needed—staff brief you on safety and gear before you start.
